Bulletin Board Forums

A BB Forum is used to assist in the communication between a group of people. Forums can be public or restricted.

Your bulletin board may contain any number of forums. Each forum contains any number of member written "threads" on a particular topic or issue. A "thread" is a fancy word for a discussion by a set of people. Each member comment adds to the "thread" of the discussion as it weaves its way along.

A forum may have various security settings regarding who may view or add to the discussion. You will select a moderator for each forum who will be able to edit member postings and control access to the forum.

Ministries could use this a bulletin board forum to facilitate communication between committee members, the worship band, or even a public prayer chain. Forums work much better than email distribution lists which get unmanageable when everyone starts to "respond to all" to the initial email. All sorts of email "threads" are start forming!

If your web server allows PHP scripting all you need to do is let High Impact Missions install a bulletin board engine on your website. Once we set this feature up for you, you can easily maintain the forums within changing any HTML code... you don't even need Dreamweaver or Frontpage!
